A match for Rajini's speed
Pandian, who started with Cheran's JK Ennum Nanbanin Vazhkai, has completed more than 50 films.
Ashok Pandian, a former army officer from Madurai seems to be the toast of K’town when it comes to character roles like father, doctor, industrialist etc.
Pandian, who started with Cheran’s JK Ennum Nanbanin Vazhkai, has completed more than 50 films including Kaththi, Kodi , Singam 2 , Rajini Murugan in four years. He has also done two Tollywood movies, which include Chiranjeevi’s recent film Khaidi No 150.
Presently, he is busy working with Superstar and Shankar in 2.O. “I was thrilled when I got the opportunity to share screen space with Rajini sir. It was four days of shoot and my first shot on the first day itself was with Superstar! Though a bit jittery inside, I didn’t show it and completed my dialogues at jet speed in one go.
As soon as the shot got done, Shankar sir came to me and said, ‘everything is fine, but reduce the speed with which you speak your dialogues’. Hearing this Rajini sir said with a smile, ‘I guess anyone who acts alongside me is bound to get the ‘speed’!” Ashok’s dream is to work as a hardcore villain in the future.
