Political alliances influence film previews
The director took to his social media handle and posted a tweet about the political angle that impacted the movie.
“Political alliances influence even the film preview shows”, remarked national award winning filmmaker Seenu Ramasamy. The director, known for his intense message oriented movies like Thenmerkku Paruvakkaattru, Neer Paravai and Dharma Durai, returns after a gap of three years with Kanne Kalaimaane. The director took to his social media handle and posted a tweet about the political angle that impacted the movie.
In his tweet in Tamil, Seenu Ramasamy said that it was his usual practice to screen special preview shows of all his movies to leaders belonging all the political parties, but however, he could not do the same with Udhayanidhi, Tamannah starrer Kanne Kalaimaane. “So, I guess political alliances decide even film preview shows.” He was referring to the current political scene in which BJP and ADMK have formed an alliance and DMK and Congress have joined hands for the impending Lok Sabha elections.
Kanne Kalaimaane stars Udhyanidhi Stalin and Tamannah in the lead and is produced by Udhay’s Red Giant Movies banner.
With musical score by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the film is set to release today (Feb 22).
