Motta Rajhendran is \'Robin Hood\'

Veteran stuntman-turned-popular supporting actor Motta Rajhendran turns solo hero for a film titled Robin Hood. He was last seen in a series of humour flicks and will be playing a serious role after a long while. The poster, which was released by Vijay Sethupathi and went viral, shows Rajendran as a lungi-holding man holding a rope and stick.

“Rajhendran plays a petty thief who, like Robin Hood, robs the rich to help the poor. The story takes place in a village which has not had rains for years. So, we were looking out for a village with barren lands to shoot the film and found Vallappanpatti in Viridhunagar District which has seen hardly any rain over the last few seasons. Surprisingly, after a few weeks of shooting, there were spells of heavy rain and thunderstorms. Though shooting was disrupted, the people of the village were happy,” he said
