Kollywood actress Radikaa Sarathkumar escapes Sri Lanka easter blast, expresses shock

Radikaa is known for her roles in films like Suryavamsam, Theri, Abhilasha, Poojai, Maari and more.

Mumbai: On Easter morning, Sri Lanka's major churches and five-star hotels were targeted extremist groups. In the tragic incident happened in Colombo, 290 people lost their lives and more than 500 got critically injured. While people from the entire world expressed deep shock and condolences over the social media, a Kollywood actress has reportedly been escaped the attacks.

Actress Radikaa Sarathkumar on Twitter shared that she was staying in one of the bombed hotels and had left moments before the attacks took place.

She wrote, "OMG bomb blasts in Sri Lanka, god be with all. I just left Colombo Cinnamon Grand Hotel and it has been bombed, can’t believe this shocking.”

Radikaa is known for her roles in films like Suryavamsam, Theri, Abhilasha, Poojai, Maari and more. Meanwhile, The explosions also struck three five-star hotels in Colombo - the Shangri-La, the Cinnamon Grand and the Kingsbury. No group has claimed responsibility for Sunday's attacks, but police have so far arrested 24 people.
