Recently it was revealed that Sunil, elder brother of actor Vaibhav Reddy, has been roped in to play the powerful antagonist to Sethu.
Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing a septuagenarian in his upcoming film Seethakathi. The movie is about super star theatre artiste Seethakathi called reverentially as ‘Ayya’ by others. Directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan, the film has an ensemble cast comprising Mahendran, Mouli, Archana, Rajkumar, Gayathrie, Remya Nambesan, and Bhagavathi Perumal. Recently it was revealed that Sunil, elder brother of actor Vaibhav Reddy, has been roped in to play the powerful antagonist to Sethu.
Talking about how he zeroed in on Sunil, the director said, “I was looking out for a appropriate actor who would have a fresh approach to his character. I wanted the person to be slightly plump as well. So we went ahead with some unusual choices. We in fact discussed a few popular names in the industry too, but nothing worked out. When I met Sunil by chance at a birthday bash, I instantly found my antagonist. He was initially nervous and was reluctant to take up the auditions. I found him impressive. He also had a short stint in acting course.”
