Shruti Haasan had a packed 2015, with a couple of misses, but many blockbusters. It could even be said that last year was the best one in her career.
However, this year has something special in store — she and father Kamal Haasan have a movie together — seven years after her debut.

So, why did it take so long? “More than scripts not working out, we have both been extremely busy. Now we have meticulously planned to make time to work together. It’s an honour for me to work with my father,” says Shruti. Is there a lot of pressure? “I believe in working hard. The rest is up to the audience and God,” she says.

Also, a recent Twitter post by Neil Gaiman was a surprise as the British author declared that if he were to make a Bollywood musical, then Shruti would be in it! What a shock it was for us… “Anything is possible! I’m a great admirer of Neil Gaiman’s work since I was a kid. It’s a dream come true to even hear what he said and I absolutely love Amanda Palmer’s music as well and hope to meet them soon!” she says.
