When the Telugu movie Kshanam was released a few months back, it completely stunned the audience because of its unique content — it went on to be a sleeper-hit. Owing to its intriguing story and screenplay, it caught the attention of other film industries. The Tamil remake rights of the film have been acquired by none other than Sibiraj now and he’s all set to feature in this movie. The Naaigal Jaakirathai actor, who is known to be very choosy about his scripts, says, “When a few of my friends suggested that I watch Kshanam, I had no major expectations about it. But, once I started watching it, I was completely hooked and I can safely say that it’s the best emotion-driven thriller I’ve seen in a long time,” he adds, “After Naaigal Jaakirathai, our banner Naathambal Film Factory wanted to make something really good and this film proves to be the perfect film I was looking for.”

He also stated that the lead role’s character has been etched in such a way that it can suit anyone — “I heard that even Salman Khan is interested in remaking this. The hero’s role in the original was very good and I think it would suit both smaller and bigger stars.” Though the cast and crew are yet to be finalised in addition to the lead hero, he said that the shooting was all set to start around June-July.
