Actress Kasturi was in the news quite recently, for her reportedly bold views that casting couch exits in Tamil film industry, where she even indirectly dragged a big actor in the context. Now, she is once again in the spotlight for her alleged remarks  on Rajinikanth’s recent speech about his possible entry into politics. Since then, Rajini fans have begun trolling her online with memes in an abusive manner, but she remains unfazed.

In a series of tweets, she expressed that a good political leader should have the talent to take instant decisions even under unanticipated circumstances. She also raised an open-ended query — ‘someone who still thinks for years whether to come to politics.’ In another post, she asks, “Can someone who cannot, for decades, make up their own mind, be a decisive leader?”

Speaking to DC from Ohio, US, she said, “I never expected this go so viral and have a snowballing effect, because there’s no mention of any name nor have I tagged any handle in my tweets. I think a television channel reported it and that could be the reason.”

However, Kasturi adds, “Whenever I get the time, I use my Twitter to express myself through thought provoking, charmingly funny ways.  I touch upon many diverse things.”

On handling those who abuse her, she says, “I chose a few of them who abused me and retorted in their own language. When they call me vulgar names, it’s not me they are humiliating, but they actually bring disrepute to their Thalaivar, by stooping to such levels.”

Reacting to a fan who said she was doing it for publicity, Kasturi says, “I am a true fan of Rajini sir and because of that, I am talking in front of him, unlike other sycophants who backstab him later.”
