SJ Suryah lauds Selva's style of work
The Kushi director, however, refused to disclose anything about his character. He is all praise for the movie's director Selvaraghavan.
Actor-director SJ Suryah, who is riding high after Iraivi’s release, is now eagerly waiting for Nenjam Marappathillai to hit the theatres. He is confident that this flick will serve his purpose. Speaking to DC, Suryah says, “Iraivi made me a good actor, I am sure that Nenjam Marappathillai will make me a star.”
The Kushi director, however, refused to disclose anything about his character. He is all praise for the movie’s director Selvaraghavan. He adds, “I was thrilled to work with him. The way he extracted work from us was mesmerising to see. The audience can expect stellar performances from Regina Cassandra and Nandita as well.”
Describing Nenjam Marappathillai as a typical Selvaraghavan film, S J Surya states, “The film will have all Selvaraghavan elements in it. In fact, I am extremely eager to see the film as a member of the audience, once the post production work is complete.”
With Nenjam...being the latest horror film to join the bandwagon, the actor feels that a film’s success does not depend on the genre. “It is basically staying true to the content that you pick. Be it any genre, the film should entertain the audience. Depending upon the audience’s taste and the current trend, movies become a hit or a miss. The time commands the director, not vice-versa,” he opines.
SJ Suryah will be pitted against Mahesh Babu in AR Murugadoss’s upcoming bilingual as well. “I have started shooting for this untitled film. “I am so lucky to be a part of an AR Murugadoss-Mahesh Babu project. God has blessed me with such good projects,” he concludes with a smile.
