Sports films used to be a rarity in Tamil cinema until Suseenthiran made his debut with a critically acclaimed movie Vennila Kabbadi Kuzhu on a less known sport, although it is virtually a native game of Tamil Nadu.

Now, Suseenthiran brings ace Bharathiraja and actor and filmmaker Sasi Kumar together for yet another film on Kabbadi. Titled Kennedy Club, this time around he is dealing with women's Kabbadi, still a neglected sport.
