Daavu is an out and out romantic comedy directed by Dhillukku Dhuddu fame Rambala. Speaking about the film, he says, “Daavu is a colloquial slang in Tamil, which means ‘sight adikkarudhu’ (eyeing on a person). The hero will sight adichufy many girls and finally, how a particular girl changes his life forms the rest. The story is narrated in a humorous manner.”
He adds, “Since the role of a female lead is very important in a rom-com, we were looking for a girl, who has a pleasant look and Reba fitted the bill perfectly.” Interestingly, Reba has also bagged a film opposite Jai in Nitin Sathya’s production, which is titled Jarugandi.
While Munishkanth plays a key character, the supporting cast comprises Livingston, Urvasi, Manobala, Kalyani Natarajan and Bava Lakshmanan. Santhosh Dhayanidhi will be composing the music.
