Ravi is like my brother: Vijay
Ravi is currently busy with Lakshman's Bhogan, and Vijay too will be wrapping up his trilingual horror thriller with Prabhu Deva & Tamannaah.
What one loves about the protagonists in Vijay’s films, is that they really are characters! Take Baby Sara in Deiva Thirumagal, or Arya in Madrasapattinam for instance. Indeed, most of his films ride on the wings of visual beauty and have always generated talk — strong emotions, love, patriotism, humanity — and change too. Filmmaker Vijay, whose last outing was Idhu Enna Maayam will soon direct Jayam Ravi next.
Vijay tells DC, “Ravi and I have always wanted to work together, but only now things have fallen into place. He’s like a brother to me. Many of his films impressed me — and Bhoologam, the latest one also did. He’s one of those heroes who executes performance-oriented roles effortlessly. This film will be special for both of us as it’s going to be quite different from what Ravi and I have done before in our career. I always make sure that I work on a different genre in every film of mine,” and adds, “This film will have a fair mix of love, sentiments, and action. Talks are on with a few leading heroines.”
