The music composer turned actor GV Prakash Kumar, who was critically acclaimed for his intense role in Sivappu Manjal Pachchai, makes his Hollywood debut with the movie Trap City.

The film revolves around a drug peddler who turns popular rapper after his first recorded song, which becomes a viral hit hours before his arrest. A point arrives when he has to make an important choice between betraying a menacing crime boss or save his career.  Reports suggest the film has popular standup comedian cum actor Brandon T Jackson in the lead with actor Dennis LA White in a key character.

Speaking to DC, GVP says, “The film is directed by Ricky Burchell. It’s a hip-hop redemption film. It’s a Brandon Jackson movie and I play a role in it”. Any image makeover for Trap City we ask and he laughs. “I am
really excited. As of now, I can only reveal this much. More from the makers.”
