Akshay Kumar modulates voice for 2.0
The actor, who is playing a villain in the film, has modified his voice to suit the role
There is a lot of action happening with Akshay Kumar’s most ambitious film till date, 2.0. The actor, who is playing a villain in the film, has modified his voice to suit the role. S. Shankar, the director of the film 2.0, felt that Akshay’s voice did not sound menacing enough to play the villain and match voices with the superstar Rajnikanth.
A source close to the film says, “Aided by Resul Pookutty, Akshay carefully modulated his voice. Resul worked on technically modifying Akshay’s voice using the state-of-the-art technologies for the film. Previously, Amitabh Bachchan had attempted to work on his voice, in the days of low technical expertise for Agneepath, over two and a half decades ago,”
Touted to be one of the most expensive films in the country, 2.0 incidentally has been allotted between 15,000 to 20,000 screens in China, and may well become the first film to make over Rs 400 crores over the weekend and recover its cost.
