Rathanavelu replaces Ravi Varman

Vijay Sethupathi will also be making his Telugu debut this year with Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy alongside Chiranjeevi. The film which was launched in  a grand manner this August at Hyderabad will go on floors in December. While it was announced that ace cinematographer Ravi Varman would be cranking the camera for this period flick, the Kaatru Veliyidai DOP has opted out of the project due to undisclosed reasons. Now, director Surender Reddy and the producers have roped in Enthiran cinematographer Rathinavelu aka Randy as a replacement. The pre-production work of the film is currently underway.

We had earlier reported that Vijay Sethupathi will be essaying the role of a British guard in the flick. The stellar cast of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy includes Amitabh Bachchan, Sudeep, Nayanthara and Ravi Kishan. Also, AR Rahman who was supposed to compose songs for the film, also opted out of the film due to personal reasons.
