Andrea, Yuvan Shankar Raja lend voices for dog duet song
Accordingly, we recorded the duet with Andrea singing for the female dog and Yuvan for the male dog in Arrol Corelli’s composition.
We have heard actresses and composers lending voice for others and crooning songs. But, young director Srinath Ramalingam has pulled something unusual for his upcoming film Anbulla Ghilli, where a Labrador dog plays the titular character. It’s a romantic drama, where the dog predominantly narrates the script. There’s a romantic track too for him. For a romantic number between dogs, which begins with the lyric Aliya En Thozhiya, Srinath wanted to try something quirky and hence approached Andrea and Yuvan Shankar Raja to render the song. “They were too receptive for the idea. Accordingly, we recorded the duet with Andrea singing for the female dog and Yuvan for the male dog in Arrol Corelli’s composition. Their lip sync done in VFX has also come out so well,” Srinath tells DC. Ace Balasubramaniem is the cinematographer.
