Kasturi takes a cop avatar

Besides getting into controversies, Kasturi is also on a roll with a handful of movies in her kitty. In her busy second innings, she takes a cop avatar in a film titled IPC 302 directed by Salangai Durai who earlier did a Karan movie.  “It is for the first time I am sporting khaki playing Durga IPS. I have a strong role in IPC 302, a murder mystery, which also touches upon honour killing. I am in a comeback mode. Normally, ace Vijayashanthi is referred as a role model for such cop roles... more than Vijayashanthi, I want to choose roles like Vijay Sethupathi does in not restricting himself to a particular category,” Kasturi tells DC.

Naga Shakthi and Varshitha essay a young romantic pair in the film. Durai who has also penned the story says that he was inspired by real life incidents. “It’s a fast paced action thriller and Kasturi has done a wonderful job.”
