The Kannada film will also be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, considering the universal appeal of the subject, says Navarasan.
Radhika Kumarasamy, more so known as ‘Kutty’ Radhika to Tamil audiences returns to Tamil after a long gap with a horror ghost revenge drama Damayanthi. A woman centric period flicks set in 1980s to present, it is directed by Navarasan. Reportedly, she plays a ghost who goes on a revenge spree. Radhika will appear in three different looks and she has reportedly done a lot of homework for her character. The Kannada film will also be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, considering the universal appeal of the subject, says Navarasan.
Narrating an incident to showcase Radhika’s dedication he said, “There was a scene which runs for 3 minutes 16 seconds that required her to perform with color lenses and without winking. She completed it in just a single take. Later only we realized that the lenses have melted due to the heavy heat from HMI lights at the shoot and has caused pain and discomfort. We rushed to hospital and within an hour she was ready, as she didn’t want the shoot to get disrupted. Such was her commitment towards work.”
