At the audio launch of Jiiva’s Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae, directed by Ike, grandson of veteran M.R. Radha, Kamal Haasan took a dig at state minister for cooperation  — Sellur Raju, who was trolled by many for his recent funny experimentation using thermocol sheets to prevent water from getting evaporated at the Vaigai dam.

Kamal, in a hilarious manner, remarked, “I have watched the trailer before you all did and it has come out well. The makers of SBKT, have covered the horror genre very well in all aspects. Well covered — but not with a ‘thermocol’! This came to my mind suddenly while thinking about ‘aavi’ (translated as ghost or steam) and nothing else.”

He added, “I am proud and happy that my assistant Ike, the third generation from a filmy family, has made his debut with this horror family entertainer. I appreciate his efforts.”

Actor Radha Ravi, uncle of Ike, who has also acted in the movie, said that his friendship with Kamal Haasan dates back to their childhood. “Kamal has started talking about politics these days. When he talked about the thermocol incident.. I was reminded of one thing. Had this  idea come to the minister earlier, he would have covered Amma with it, and her spirit would have stayed put in her memorial!” he laughed, to great applause.

The film produced by Atlee, features Jiiva, Sri Divya, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Soori, Thambi Ramaiah, and Mottai Rajhendran, among others, and has Vishal Chandrashekar as the music composer.
