Yogi Babu is now ‘Mandela’
The actor has now been roped in for filmmaker turned producer Balaji Mohan for his upcoming production venture titled Mandela.

The actor has now been roped in for filmmaker turned producer Balaji Mohan for his upcoming production venture titled Mandela. Balaji has partnered with Y Not Studios and Reliance Entertainment for the film.
A social satire in a rural setting, Yogi will be seen playing the titular role of Mandela with Madonne Ashwin, who shot to fame with his short Dharmam, wielding the megaphone. Sangili Murugan, G.M. Sundar, Sheela Rajkumar of Tolet fame and Kanna Ravi are part of the supporting cast.
The movie, which went on floors recently, will be filmed predominantly in and around Tirunelveli and Thoothukudi, over the next two months, says Balaji.
Vidhu Ayyanna will be cranking the camera for the film and Bharath Shankar will compose the music.
