Megha Akash, the heroine of Dhanush in Gautham Menon's Ennai Nokki Payum Thotta, has bagged yet another plum film in Tamil. Director Kannan has roped her in for his upcoming yet-untitled project, which has Atharvaa in the lead.
Megha is also awaiting the release of the much-talked about film Oru Pakka Kadhai, directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan.

The untitled film is an action drama and is set in the cities of Chennai and Tirunelveli. Though the buzz is around that there are two heroines in the film, it is now revealed that Megha is the only female lead.

Talking to DC, Kannan said, “I watched Megha’s song bit with Dhanush from ENPT, released earlier and was deeply impressed with her expressions and fresh looks.  I was also looking out for a similar girl for the female lead in my film. And, I always give importance to all my lead heroine characters, instead of using them as mere glam girls — be it Bhavana, Tamannaah or Taapsee, I’ve always given substantial roles for them.”

And it seems this movie also is no different. “I narrated the script to her and she was very happy to come on board. She plays a city girl who is a viscom student. Her role is very fresh, which has a bearing in the script.”

While Radhan of Arjun Reddy fame is composing the music, Kannan, who produces the film under his home banner Masala Pix, has roped in Prasanna S. Kumar to crank the camera.
