We should open a library in KB’s name: Nasser
Nasser was speaking at a memorial of the renowned filmmaker who passed away five years ago.
“More than keeping a statue in memory of iconic K. Balachander sir, it is important that the industry should bring his disciplined ways of filmmaking, how he was a producers’ delight among others, which is very crucial in today’s film scenario. Since his movies are always considered much ahead of his times, we should start a library in his name,” remarked veteran actor Nasser, who made his debut with a KB film Kalyana Agadhigal.
Nasser was speaking at a memorial of the renowned filmmaker who passed away five years ago. He went on to add, “I have so far worked in 250 production houses. I have not seen a professional and meticulous banner like KB’s Kavithalaya till date.”
Sivakumar, who has made memorable films including Sindhu Bhiravi with Balachander, recalled his memories.
“There are three actors who are significantly associated with KB sir – Nagesh, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. KB sir told Rajini, who did a role with grey shades in Moondru Mudichu, not to bother being dark skinned. He told him that he was a ‘black diamond’ and that he would rock the Tamil film scene one day. His foresight came true.”
