Ramki is back as a gangster!

Yesteryear hero and actress Nirosha’s husband Ramki is back after a long gap with a movie titled English Padam. Directed by Kumaresh Kumar, the actor will be sporting a salt-and-pepper look. He will be playing the role of a north Chennai gangster.

A horror-comedy thriller, the film will see Meenakshi who rose to fame with her debut  flick Karuppasamy Kutthagaitharar  as the female lead. She has also been missing in action for a long time. Talking about his role, Ramki says, “I am portraying a gangster and he is neither the hero nor the villain. You may call him an anti-hero (smiles). I enjoyed every bit of shooting. I am sure the movie, which is an entertainer, will be lapped up by the audiences.”

Revealing the aim behind keeping a quirky title, Kumaresh Kumar says, “The fast-paced movie moves in an unpredictable manner with twists and turns and would give you the experience of watching a Hollywood thriller. No one can guess as to what would be the next scene! Ramki has gone to the next level in acting.” The film is scheduled for October 6 release.
