Major channels bid for Chiranjeevi's 150th film
Two channels have agreed to offer up to Rs 100 crore for satellite rights of the movie.
Ram Charan, is gearing up to produce father Chiranjeevi’s 150th film, which has been aptly named Khaidi No. 150. Directed by V.V. Vinayak, the movie is being produced by Ram, under his home production group, Konidela Production Company.
While the makers launched the first motion poster of the film on Chiranjeevi’s 61st birthday, the commercial entertainer will release on the auspicious occasion of Sankranti in 2017.
A close source reveals, “There is a lot of anticipation surrounding Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No. 150. Not only are distributors clamouring for the film but the two biggest channels down South are also in a bidding war for the satellite rights.”
Since it is the megastar’s 150th film, it is a landmark production that everyone wants to associate with. Both channels have agreed to offer up to '100 crore for satellite rights, although the producers are yet to lock in on either.”
