Why did RK Suresh turn down Bala?
The actor is excited about his upcoming projects though.
Producer RK Suresh ventured into acting with Bala’s Thaarai Thappattai in which he played the role of a villain. Next, he went on to play a baddie in Vishal’s Marudhu. Now, the producer-cum-actor is doing four films as a hero! There were rumours about the actor being roped in for Bala’s next, however RK Suresh couldn’t sign the films because of his commitments. “Bala sir once again offered me a powerful role, which required me to shave my head. Since I am doing four films simultaneously, I couldn’t sign the movie. I felt very bad, but if such an offer comes from him again, I will definitely hop on board,” says Suresh.
The actor is excited about his upcoming projects though. “I play supporting roles in Gaurav Narayanan’s film with Udhayanidhi Stalin, and Studio Green’s Hara Hara Mahadevaki starring Gautham Karthik and Nikki Galrani. Ironically, in all the six films that I have signed, I play the good guy. Suddenly, I have stopped receiving roles with negative shades!” he smiles.
Recently, he saw Attu starring Yogi Babu and loved it, so he decided to release it under his banner. “I also have plans to produce two big films next year and we have initiated the talks,” he quips.
The Marudhu actor plans to foray into other industries in the future. He has also started a new audio label company, Studio 9 Music. Currently, he is acting as a hero in Thanu Mugam, Thara Ticket, Vettai Naai and Billa Pandi.
