Talking about his debut attempt in wielding the megaphone Pugazhendhi tells DC, “My passion for cinema started as early as when I was in the panel for selection of Tamil movies for tax exemption. I had watched several movies including Rajini’s Kaali and Kamal’s Raja Paarvai. Slowly, I began writing poems, which landed me penning lyrics for some of composer Soundarya’s movies.”
And it was former Supreme Court judge Justice Mohan who encouraged him to get into films, he adds. “That’s why, I chose a story based on one of my own judgments, which made my job of writing the screenplay easy. It has a relevant social message.” Sondaryan composes the music. Recently, the audio of Vedhamanavan was launched at a star-studded event.
