I thrive on high proteins: Arya
Arya talks about getting in shape for new film.
Whoever knows Arya will also know how much of a fitness freak he is. Other than his regular workout sessions and cycling trips, he’s under a strict workout routine to suit his character in the upcoming untitled film with Manjapai director Ragavan.
Recently, Arya posted a picture from his workout session, where he looked super fit, with shredded biceps! “I have been working out extensively to build my body for the role of a tribal. I also follow a proper diet regime. I thrive on high proteins and nothing else. I work out for four to five hours a day, split into three sessions. It’s high intensity training and weight training. In fact, I am working harder than even those aspiring for a six-pack! I have been asked to increase my weight to 88 kgs for the film,” he tells DC.
Catherine Teresa of Madras fame is playing Arya’s romantic interest in this movie touted to be an action thriller set against the backdrop of a forest. “I have not played an emotional character like this previously in my career. It will be an adventurous journey for the audience. The film also has many portions involving some risky stunt sequences, which are choreographed by Dilip Subbarayan. It’s a commercial film that we extensively shot in and around the forests of Bangkok, Athirapally in Kerala and Kodaikanal and Tamil Nadu borders. 50 per cent of the shoot is complete. Because communication signals weren’t strong, the team had to use walkie-talkies while shooting. It was one heck of a good time,” he concludes.
