A film on Ramalinga Raju's life
Produced by Arun Rangachari, who had co-produced The Lunchbox, the film will focus on Raju's good deeds and the Satyam scandal.
Almost 10 years after Ramalinga Raju stepped down as the chairman and CEO of Satyam Computer Services, a film may be made on him.
According to sources, the filmmakers are planning a movie that chronicles the series of events that led to the biggest scandal in Coporate India. Whilst highlighting
Ramalinga Raju’s good work (his charity deeds), the film will focus on the proceedings that prompted him to step down. The script is supposedly being penned bywriter Subbu Peteti and will highlight the white-collar crimes that have shaken the Indian IT industry.
It is said that the film will focus more on Ramalinga Raju, whowas convicted in what is deemed to be the biggest fraud in corporate India.
Moreover, given the pan-India appeal of the subject, the filmmakers are planning on making the movie in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi, apart from Telugu.
A source informs “Although the film is about white-collar crimes in the Indian IT sector, it can’t be complete if it does not highlight Ramalinga Raju’s case. However, the filmmakers are still mulling over whether they ought to focus on Ramalinga Raju specifically or just touch upon all cases of corporate fraud that have happened in India.”
