Sampath Ram bags full-length villain role
I have been getting accolades for my performance, Sampath says.
Veteran supporting actor Sampath Ram, known more for his villain roles in K’town, has finally got a deserving break after his recent stint as a corrupt cop who turns a new leaf in Vijay Antony’s Thimiru Pudichavan.
“I have been in the industry for more than two decades. After Kabali, where I shared screen space with Superstar Rajini sir, I got a meaty role in Thimiru… I have acted as a policeman in many films. But the constable character in Thimiru Pudichavan was totally different and has given me a special identity. Thanks to producer Vijay Antony sir and director Ganeshaa. I have been getting accolades for my performance,” Sampath says.
The lanky actor has bagged a full-length baddie role post TP. “Yes I am doing a movie Thatrom Thookarom where I essay the main villain. I am also part of
Vetri Maaran’s Sanga Thalaivan and Lawrence’s Kanchana 3, where I play crucial characters. I want to earn the name of a big villain like Prakash Raj sir,” he says.
