Vijay Sethupathi wins hearts on Thalapathy 64 sets
Huge crowds gathered at Shimoga to catch a glimpse of Makkal Selvan!
Vijay Sethupathi, who portrays the main antagonist to Vijay, joined the sets of Thalapathy 64 at Shimoga Prison in Karnataka, where director Lokesh Kanagaraj has planned some of the high-octane stunt portions. If close sources are to be believed, Sethu will be essaying an arrogant politician in Thalapathy 64. And anunconfirmed buzz is that the film is about the education system in our country, with Vijay, who reportedly plays a college professor, exposing the malpractices and corruption in the education sector forming the crux of the movie.
Even as the news of Makkal Selvan reaching Shimoga spread, a huge crowd gathered to greet the Super Deluxe actor.
Grounded person that he is, VSP mingled with his fans and even celebrated the birthday of an admirer who was waiting with a cake, much to the latter’s delight. The video shot there is going viral.
It may be recalled that Vijay, who started the shoot earlier this month in Shimoga prison after completing schedules in New Delhi, was given a rousing welcome by his fans in the neighboring state. A large number of fans turned up at the hotel with a mammoth garland. That’s the kind of fan base the Bigil actor enjoys outside Tamil Nadu. Going by the reports, despite his busy shooting schedules, the actor also posed with fans and waved to them. Way to go Thalapathy!
Produced by Xavier Britto, a close relative of Vijay, the movie has Malavika Mohanan as the lead lady and Shanthanu, GouriKishan and Andrea among others in the cast.
Tailpiece: Reports are doing the rounds that RB Choudhary's renowned production house, SuperGood Films, which made many blockbuster films with Vijay and has a great rapport with him, has acquired Thalapathy 64's theatre rights in Kerala for a huge amount.
