Arundhati Nair goes places
The actress, who made her debut with Saithaan, is busy with four projects.
Arundhati Nair’s portrayal of Jayalakshmi in Vijay Antony starrer Saithaan, was a major hit among the audience. The actress is just one film old and she is already clear about what she wants to do in cinema. Currently, Arundhati is busy with four projects — three in Tamil and one in Malayalam.
Speaking to us from the sets of her next film, July 16, Arundhati shares, “It is a horror film directed by S Selvakumar. I am paired opposite Ajmal Ameer and privileged to act alongside KR Vijaya, K Bhagyaraj, Senthil, Imman Annachi, Anupama Kumar, Delhi Ganesh and Roshan Basheer. I get possessed by a spirit, which is essayed by Nikita. We are seven days into shoot — and I’m having a great time in Ooty, where the film is being shot.”
The plot revolves around Ajmal’s character who visits Tamil Nadu and his encounter with the spirit form the crux.
She also has another film titled Yaavarum Nallavarey, which has Madras fame Rithvika playing an important role. “The makers are in talks to rope in Vijay Sethupathi and Samuthirakani as well. Apart from these two projects, my next with director Mithran Jawahar will also begin soon,” she quips.
Arundhati will also make her Malayalam debut in a film titled Anuragam directed by Jayan Vannery. The script for this film is penned by Jude Anthony.
