Adhiti Menon bags Kumki 2
Shooting of Kumki 2 will commence in the first week of August. Kerala has been finalised as one of the shooting spots.
Though the film Pattadhaari received a rather lukewarm response at the box office, the film has been a lucky charm for actress Adhiti Menon. Her performance in the film earned her the lead role in director Ameer’s Sandhanadhevan opposite Arya. While her career is slowly picking momentum, she has been roped in for another prestigious project.
Director Prabhu Solomon is currently working on the sequel to Kumki and it was rumoured that yesteryear actor Rajasekar’s daughter Shivani is mostly like to sign the flick. In a sudden turn of events, Kumki 2 has landed in Adhiti’s lap. Close sources reveal, “Shivani was initially considered for the movie, but the team decided that Adhiti would be perfect for the role. Shooting of this flick will commence in the first week of August. Currently, the director is on a location recce and has finalised Kerala as one of the shooting spots.”
Prabhu Solomon and team are now scouting the hero and the supporting characters. The plot of Kumki 2 will once again deal with a love story and the basic storyline will feature elephants.
Cinematographer Sukumar who worked in the first part has been signed on for the sequel as well.
