Upping her game

Chennai actress and VJ Pooja Ramachandran has been busy shuttling her Tamil and Telugu projects. Now, she  will be seen as the leading lady in forthcoming Telugu film DSP, directed by Srikishore. Apparently, Pooja will play the role of a heroine in the suspense-thriller. The plot revolves around how three guys have sex with an actress after she dies.

On why she took up such a bizarre role, Pooja explains, “I felt that if I have to be different, I need to come up with challenging roles. I believed my part had the potential and scope for a great performance, and hence accepted the project.”

For someone who is not used to playing glamorous roles, how did she prepare for shooting the raunchy scenes? “Initially, it was difficult shooting for the steamy scenes, particularly for the close-up shots, but later, I grew in confidence and gave my best. It was a fantastic experience and after a long time, I felt satisfied with my role,” she reveals.
