Priyanka Upendra is back in Kollywood
The actress plays the lead role in the film Howrah Bridge.
Though she has done only a handful of films in Tamil, Priyanka Upendra is a known face in K’town. Having set her foot in the industry with Vijaykanth-starrer Rajjiyam, she went on to act alongside Ajith, Vikram and Arun Vijay. The actress, who has been active in Bengali and Kannada films, is back in K’town with a project titled Howrah Bridge.
Priyanka will be portraying the role of a doting mother in this movie, while Aishwarya will essay the role of her daughter. Directed by Lohit, Howrah Bridge is a thriller based on true incidents that happened in Kolkatta. Speaking to DC, producer Sathish Kumar of JSK Film Corporation says, “It is an edge-of-the-seat thriller and is based on real-life experiences. Howrah Bridge will go on floors on September 4 in Kolkatta. We have set the film in Kolkatta as it plays an important role in taking the story forward.”
Howrah Bridge is a Tamil- Kannada bilingual, which will have songs and dialogues penned by Kabilan Vairamuthu.
JSK Film Corporation is basking in the success of recently-released Taramani and is gearing up for the release of Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathrie starrer Puriyadha Pudhir on September 1.
