Is Siddharth jealous of Dhanush bagging Hollywood film?
Siddharth is once again in the news this time for the wrong reasons.
Siddharth, who hit the headlines for his selfless work during the recent floods in Chennai, is once again in the news — this time for the wrong reasons. One of his recent updates has created a lot of flutter among his tweeps — a post which came soon after Dhanush tweeted that he’d bagged a Hollywood film!
The Maari star wrote on his micro-blog on 28th January at 5.53 am, as follows, “Elated to sign my first Hollywood film @The__Fakir, directed by Marjane Satrapi. A big thank you to all for the warm wishes keeps pushing me!”
Exactly 45 minutes later, Sid took to his profile and posted — ‘Nagoor briyani Ulundurpettaiyila irukkura oru therunaayikku kedaikkanumnu yeludhirundha, adha yaaralayum maatha mudiyadhu. Tamil Thathuvam!’ (If a street dog in Ulundurpettai is destined to get Nagoor biryani, no one can stop it).
That was enough to trigger off a controversy, with many reportedly vouching that Sid’s tweet is an angry outburst on Dhanush going places, although the former hadn’t mentioned anybody in his post.
It is not the first time Sid has been dragged into such a situation. Though it is unclear as to why he posted such a tweet (and who he’s really referring to), several of his followers have questioned the Jigarthanda actor about this sudden remark, when he’s usually known for keeping it classy.
Some have even tagged his remark to the Padma Vibhushan that was awarded to Superstar Rajinikanth recently!
Maybe Sid was just letting off some steam on a personal issue — or just recalled Santhanam’s dialogue from his film randomly... but of course, it was enough to stir up a ruckus! Sigh.
