A significant film in Kalaiyarajan's career

Kalaiyarasan, whose is on a roll post Kabali and Adhe Kangal, is all geared up with his forthcoming action thriller Yeidhavan — a film that talks about the issues in our educational system. Directed by debutant Sakthi Rajasekaran, the film stars Satna Titus of Pichaikkaran fame as a cop.
Speaking at a promo event of the movie, he said, “It is a significant movie in my career. I know Shakthi sir from Madhayanai Kootam days. I have seen his working style and I am in awe of it. When he came to me to narrate the full story of Yeidhavan, I told him not to bother much and asked just for the one-line story, since I had immense faith in his talent and abilities (smiles).”
It was like working with family during the entire shoot, he says. “There was hardly any tension and the shooting was lively and energetic.” Talking about the tough fight sequences, he says, “We did a risky action block near Red Hills in scorching heat. There were no ropes or body doubles used for the high-octane action sequence which was shot in three days. I won’t say the story is unusual, but it has been told in a powerful way by Sakthi — that makes all the difference.”
On his role, he quips, “I play an ordinary guy — Krishna, who hails from a middle-class family. His entire family relocates to the city for his younger sister’s higher education. The problems he faces from politicians and others and how he comes out of it, forms the crux.”
