Nedunalvaadai, a film on grandpa-grandson bonding
Theater personality Ramu, who got critical acclaim for his performance in Poo, will be seen as the central character of an aged farmer.
Director Selvakannan, who was mired in controversy with his heroine Aditi while filming his movie Nedunalvaadai, has completed it by replacing Aditi with Anjali Nair. Theater personality Ramu, who got critical acclaim for his performance in Poo, will be seen as the central character of an aged farmer.
Talking to DC, Selvakannan says, “Any well-made film, which has a native subject is lapped up by Tamil audiences, Kizhakku Seemayile, Thenmerkku Paruvakkaattru to name a few. Nedulnalvaadai is one such intense story based on people who still live in Tirunelveli. Ramu has lived in the character of 70-year-old innocent farmer. Mime Gopi, Ilango, Senthil are in the supporting cast.
The film talks about the bonding between a grandpa and his grandson”
Kannan says he was keen on having lyricist Vairamuthu on board for the songs — “Fortunately, Vairamuthu sir got impressed with the intense script and wrote lyrics for all the tracks, which is a biggest plus for us.” The movie is being produced by 50 of Kannan’s friends who studied with him.
