Thiruttu Payale 2 is all about the Bad vs Bad'
Director Susi Ganesan talks about the negative characters in the movie.
The short teasers and promo materials of Susi Ganesan’s Thiruttu Payale 2 might hint that the flick can have adult content, as Amala Paul’s steamy looks and suggestive poses created a huge buzz. Susi, who made Thiruttu Payale in 2006, based on extra marital affairs, says that he has not shown anything which is not happening in the society. TP 2 is about the ‘Bad Vs Bad’ — meaning, all the three leads Amala, Bobby Simha and Prasanna have roles with negative shades besides other small characters.
“It is not an adult content movie. There is a lot of explicit sexual content that is freely available online. Why would I touch the same aspect? The uniqueness of Thiruttu Payale 2 is the flow and narrative of the script, which will still give you the same flavour. And the real challenge for me was to shock the audiences without being overt. I hope I have pulled it off!
On portraying every character including the three leads with grey shades, he quips, “I feel every human being has an other side to him/her. I am only projecting the double standard of human minds. So, in the context of my subject, you will find the negative shades of everyone. That’s why the film is a ‘Bad Vs Bad’ concept.
On the scintillating promos of Amala Paul and Bobby, he says, “They were meant to create curiosity. When you watch the film it will move along with the proceedings. Amala plays a girl with a lot of hidden secrets with her.”
So, what are you trying to convey, we ask Susi, and he responds, “I am not judgmental at all! After watching the movie everyone will relate to all the characters as they would have gone through similar situations.”
