Pooja signs her first solo heroine film
The Iraivi actress will be seen as a writer in Raja Ranguski.
Actress Pooja Devariya is probably one of the talents to watch out for in 2017. With three releases in 2016, Pooja has cemented a place for herself in K’Town and has now even signed her first film as a female lead. She has bagged an ambitious project of Jackson Durai fame Dharani Dharan’s — the upcoming flick titled Raja Ranguski.
Speaking to DC, an elated Pooja says, “I play a writer in the film and I am paired opposite Shirish Saravanan who acted in Metro. The title is definitely quirky and Ranguski is the pet name of legendary writer Sujatha sir. We have had a few rehearsal sessions and I am eagerly looking forward to start the project from January 2.”
The actress, who has completed shooting for Bobby Simhaa’s Vallavanukku Vallavan, is kicked about her upcoming film. “In 2016, I was part of three great films and all of it received critical acclaim in India and in international festivals as well. This gave me the best welcome to Kollywood. I never thought of screen time while doing these films, but I was happy to have portrayed them,” she adds.
Her three releases in Tamil were Karthik Subbaraj’s Iraivi, Manikandan’s Kuttrame Dhandanai and Aandavan Kattalai. So, what plans does Pooja have for next year? — “I have a working new year and that’s the best part! Professionally, 2016 has been great for me and I am looking forward to an eventful 2017,” she concludes.
