Actor Irfan will be seen as a revolutionist who leads a movement in his upcoming film Aagam. The film revolves around the current education scene and unscrupulous recruiting agents. Based on real-life incidents, the movie is directed by public speaker-writer Vijay Anand Sriram.
“The producers and I have trained many students in Human Resource Management, and we have come across overseas employment frauds. Aagam has a message but it will not be preachy. It’s a social thriller with commercial elements in it,” says Sriram, who was closely associated with Jayam Raja in Thani Oruvan. He adds, “There’s nothing controversial and we have not touched the darker side of politics.” While Irfan plays an MBA student, who exposes a multimillion-dollar HRD scam through his initative, Deekshitha is paired opposite him. Jayaprakash essays a crucial character while Riaz Khan plays the antagonist. Popular French- Canadian actress Aliona Munteanu has been roped in for a pivotal role.
Deekshitha says, “I am here to act and I want performance-oriented roles. I started my career as a model and films happened all of a sudden. I believe that this film will showcase my potential as an actress. Also after watching Aagam, the audience will be convinced that one need not go abroad for opportunities, but remain here.” Deekshitha adds that cinema was not really on her mind. “I am just glad that I can do whatever roles that come my way. I have completed my next titled, Nagarvalam. But I’d love to act with Dhanush someday,” the pretty actress smiles.
