After a gap of eight years, director Meera Kathiravan is all set to enthrall audiences with his second film, Vizhithiru. Tipped to be an action thriller, this film has a huge star cast of Krishna, Vidharth, Dhansika, Thambi Ramaiah, Venkat Prabhu, Baby Sara and Naga Babu (actor and brother of Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi). The film has been issued a U certificate and will hit the marquee in the coming weeks.

Speaking to DC, director Meera Kathiravan says, “Vizhithiru consists of four stories set in different backdrops which happen on a single night. We have worked on the script based on several real-life incidents. Since the movie happens in a day, a majority of the portions were shot during the night and we had to constantly maintain the continuity between the shots.”

The director claims that reading several stories on honour killings served as inspiration for him to pen this script. “Such news really struck me hard. Also, I wanted to incorporate four different genres in a single film. That is how Vizhithiru came to life,” he explains.

One of the interesting factors is that the team has roped in seven composers to render a song each. “T Rajhen-dherr will be seen in a guest appearance. He wrote the song and will be featuring in it as well. Apart from him, Santhosh Narayanan sang the title track with several beat-boxers. GV Prakash, Vijay Antony, SS Thaman, C Sathya, Vaikom Vijayalakshmi and Alphonse of Aaromale fame have lent their voices,” concludes Meera Kathiravan.
