New-age actor Naga Chaitanya claimed their family drama “Manam’ was a special film for him. “Not only for me, it is a special film for my entire family,’ he said in a video while walking through the premises of Annapoorna Studios. He is seen praying to the statues of legendary actor Akkineni Nageshwar Rao and his grandmother Annapoorna placed in the revered studio. “We would like to show you some places in our studio where we shot our beloved film ‘Manam’, he adds. ‘We conducted pooja near Hanuman temple in the studio and most of our films were started in this spot,” he points out.

He recalls s/hooting with his grandfather and actor ANR in a particular set on the premises. “ I vividly remember those scenes since I was hesitant and nervous on that day to work with ANR garu but later he encouraged me to do my job. I miss you thathaa,’ he points out. He also claims that this house set is special since he shared screen space with his father and actor Nagarjuna. “I had scenes with my dad and grandfather together and we used to discuss cinema in shooting gaps. My grandpa used to share his work experience and I learned a lot from him. Those were extraordinary moments,” he explains.

The much-hyped ‘Manam’ featured ANR, Nagarjuna, and Naga Chaitanya with Shriya Saran and Samantha playing key roles, while Akhil Akkineni appeared as a guest. It was a sensational hit, a decade ago, and Akkineni fans are elated as the film was released on May 23. "We are celebrating this special moment together with fans and family,” he concludes.
