Shagun Pandey answers a volley of questions exclusively to Deccan Chronicle about the show and more.

The show is quite impressive; however, the show has been received well. You look nice even though she is representing her rage so well. What do you have to say?

Mostly when trailers are launched, people think it is a benchmark, and of course people like trailers. Our first trailer is like a base, apart from this there are other things too. When you watch the episode, you'll get to know that the trailer only gave you a glimpse but the things that are going to come along are much better.

Right now we haven't shown Rajasthan, the characters, or anything like that. We have only shown how two people meet and based on that a trailer was made on their ideologies. When you get to know about the story, which I have been experiencing, you'll be impressed. Our show is quite different and innovative and I am pretty much sure it will be liked. It doesn't only show the perspective of women but also the men who have been taught to be a certain way by society.

It's wrong to say that only females have faced any issue, men also go through so many things but their problems are never discussed. Men do have emotions that need to be taken care of too.

In our time the concept of woman empowerment was not so hyped, but today it is everywhere. Do you think it's just the opposite in real life?

Our society talks about everything and I feel that it's not good to talk too much about things. How can you give importance to only one gender if our cultures have taught us to respect both male and female energy. We must respect the emotions of both genders. I feel that the best thing is we have to empower women because they have the potential but there's no comparison with males.

Women are doing well in every field these days, whether it's locomotives, engineering, directors and whatnot. Honestly, there are women behind my success. This is my fourth show with Shashi Sumeet production where Shashi ji's name is taken first. And they have made many culturally rich shows that have gained a lot of love. Before this other females like Sonali Zafar ji, Rashmi Sharma, and Deepti Galwani were my producers. So there are so many females behind the success of a male.

What do you have to say about all these female producers who have brought this limelight to you?

They are so qualified females and when they are at their work, you can feel their aura. Whether it's Shashiji, Sonali Zafar ji, or Rashmi Sharma ji, their aura speaks. They are handling so many shows and so many people are working under them, and they believe in their decision.

Do you agree with the idea that "women are more trustworthy"?

Yes of course. I feel that women are more trustworthy than men and they have shown it with time.

So, do you mean that men are not that loyal?

Yes, sometimes they are not. It's not that they are disloyal; they tend to get a little distracted.

Do you agree negativity sells on the small screen as well as the big screen? People will like it as it gives a thrill.

If you'll call difficult situations negative, then how will you grow? The thing that hooks the audiences is how a person is trying to get out of that situation.

How different is this show going to be so it allures the Hindi audience?

There is an amalgamation of art along with different languages as every 10 kilometres, the language changes just like that there’s a change in thoughts. So what's happening in the life of the characters is more interesting.

Do you think in today’s times men marry girls below 18?

Yes it does happen in the rural areas where people have a strong belief to settle a woman at an early age and she will be able to do very well for her family. Also these parents don’t wish their girls to get more exposure to the world. We are spreading a message creating awareness as well.

I believe a minor must be given enough time to understand their purpose and at this early age, they don't deserve to be bound by anything. Have you seen the women of this era? They are so powerful and devoted towards their work.
