Awaiting her big release

It was turning out to be a usual day for little Harshitha J. Pisharady, a class VIII student from Kottayam, until she got an offer for a role in the film Parole. From a normal school going girl to a lively child actress, Harshitha Pisharody is taking all the right steps at the right time. For her debut movie, Parole, she is sharing the screen with the likes of none other than Mammootty, making it even more special. “Making my debut in a movie with Mammootty uncle! Wow, I cannot expect more,” says Harshitha. “I was so thrilled when director Sharrath Sandith asked me to come for a screen test and everything went well,” she adds. 

For Harshitha  acting is not her only love, instead, she is interested in dance too. An ardent participant in school festivals, she represented her school in many events. 

She says, “Even though I was not afraid of performing in front of others in school fests, I was nervous on my first day at the location. I was going to act along with many people that I had seen only on TV!”

She says acting alongside Mammootty is what she cherishes the most. “I was not expecting such a warm and friendly experience. But to my amusement, they were treating me like they knew me for years. Mammootty uncle is so supportive and sometimes he gave some useful tips to help me. He even insisted I dub for this character. He was very inspirational,” added Harshitha.  

Touted to be an emotional drama that will have Mammootty putting on a powerful performance as a prisoner and Communist rebel, the film will feature Miya George as his sister. Harshitha plays Miya’s daughter in the film

She is very excited and feels her parents, friends and teachers at Girideepam Bethany School supported her well in everything. Some of her friends have already started asking for her autographs, says Harshitha.

Sharrath will be making his debut as director with Parole. The film has been scripted by Ajith Poojappura. The other cast members include Iniya, Siddique, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Prabhakar, Lalu Alex, Padmaraj Ratheesh, Juby Ninan, Sudheer Karamana and Alencier Ley Lopez, with Mammootty playing the lead role of Comrade Alex.

The film is produced by Antony D’Cruz under the banner Antony D’Cruz Entertainments and distributed by Century Films. The film will be released on April 5.
