Actor Dulquer Salmaan, who was last seen as a hero in Mani Ratnam’s OK Kanmani, is yet to sign a Tamil film. Though he has been acting in several Malayalam movies, he is being choosy when it comes to Kollywood projects. Recently, we had reported that he will be seen in an untitled Tamil film, which will be helmed by debutant director Ra Karthik.

According to the latest reports, we hear that he has signed another movie, which will be produced by Shibu Thameens. The producer reveals, “Though it’s too early to discuss this, we met recently and we will be associating in 2018 for a Tamil project, because he loves the Tamil film industry and wants to do a good film catering purely to the audience of TN.”

Shibu and Dulquer first collaborated for Malayalam film, ABCD. Talking about their friendship, the Iru Mugan producer says, “We always wanted to work together after our first venture ABCD. He is one of the most genuine heroes I have ever worked with. He is busy in Malayalam and has back-to-back projects lined up in M’town. I always wanted to be associated with him.”

Producer Shibu Thameens is now busy with the pre-production of Saamy 2, directed by Hari. This film is a sequel to the 2003 Tamil action drama starring Vikram and Trisha in the titular roles.
