Sangeeth Sivan produces horror thriller in Mollywood

The plan was set. He’d produce two Malayalam films this year. Sangeeth Sivan would see how the first one goes, and then think of the next. This first is a new age horror thriller to be directed by Kukku Surendran. “It will mostly feature new talents or young ones who are relatively new,” says Sangeeth. “I’ve wanted to do something in Malayalam, was just waiting for the right one,” says the veteran filmmaker, writer, and producer, who had last produced the film Idiots in Malayalam. “Horror thrillers are not much explored in Malayalam,” he says.
Cinematography will be done by Manoj Pillai and music by Rahul Raj. Once the actors are fixed, shooting should begin by March, Sangeeth says. “If the film goes well, I’ll produce another by June-July.” This year will also see him directing a bilingual in Hindi and Tamil, with Madhavan in the lead. “That would be a family film involving a small daughter and her father.”
