After directing national award winning Mammootty-starrer Pathemari, Salim Ahamed is back with a feature. The director would be seen narrating a story on tinsel town. According to Salim, the film titled The Oscar Goes To… is a cinema set against the backdrop of the film industry. “I feel that those who work in the film industry are so passionate about their jobs. Many people struggle behind each project. The saddest part is that out of 1000 attempts a year, just 100 or 150 films are hitting the screens. With this film, I am trying to capture the life of people behind the cinema,” he says adding “My story will be narrated with a struggling director in the lead role.” Salim, who is also writing the screenplay for the film, has not yet zeroed in on actors and technicians. He hopes that the film will start rolling by the end of this year.
