Imposter woes for Unni Mukundan
Unni Mukundan took to his official Facebook page to react against fake social media pages created in his name.
What happens when you are an eligible young bachelor? Unni Mukundan has been dealing with the flipside of being a celebrity. He has been vocal about various fake social media pages created in his name using which impostors have been chatting with girls. He even lodged a complaint with the Cyber Cell, but nothing seems to have come out of it.
Now, he has taken to his official Facebook page to explain the situation.
“On numerous occasions, I have mentioned and warned about this Facebook profile actively operating under my name. I have been receiving numerous messages from people (read girls), asking me about this Facebook account! This is neither my account nor my phone number,” he says.
He also points to the need for such an explanation. “Because being a responsible citizen, I had contacted the Cyber Cell personally, given a written complaint and sent an e-mail, months back. I had also provided to the Cyber Cell a few chat shots and have tried my best to get this sorted through proper means, but of no use! I personally consider that girls fall prey to such acts and since I have a sister, I can understand the stress on women due to such acts.”
Unni also warns the girls to check a thousand times before engaging in any chat with any unverified celebrity account and ends the post by mentioning that he is thoroughly disappointed with the Cyber Cell.
