The sleeper hit Ithihasa marked Shine Tom Chacko's promotion to the lead position from doing supporting roles, but even as he crosses 30 movies, he is not ready to be just the protagonist. With Third World Boys, Prethamund Sookshikkuka, Tiyaan and Parava readying for release and two movies in production phase, Shine surprises with his humility. He begins talking about Third World Boys, “It is a film that had completed production three years back. Owing to technical issues, we had to wait for long and now, it is up for release. In fact, this film can be set at any time as it deals with such a subject.”

In the movie, Shine’s character is named after him. “It is not a solo hero flick. It goes through seven characters who have equal importance — Sreenath Bhasi, Soubin Shahir, Siju Wilson, Sudhy Koppa, Balu Varghese and Premjith are the other heroes. Each of us enacts the roles named after us,” says the actor, adding, “It is a dialogue-oriented film which goes through our characters who are all set for a journey to a high range area.”

In Prethamund Sookshikkuka, Shine acts as Ethics Babu. Quizzed about the name, he says, “He is a local lad hailing from a colony. He will stand up for his friends when they fall in trouble, if he feels that their case is genuine. Otherwise, he will stand for their enemies. That is his ethics and that’s why the name.” He points out that it is a horror movie with humorous treatment. Varnyathil Ashanka and debutant Vijayakumar’s yet-to-be-titled movie are the news films in his kitty.
