Malayalam actress abduction: Kalabhavan Mani's brother sees Dileep role in death
The state police had registered a case for unnatural death and now CBI has taken over the case.
Thrissur: R.L.V. Ramakrishnan, brother of late actor Kalabhavan Mani, has come out against actor Dileep stating that he doubts that the mysterious death of Mani was a quotation like the abduction and rape of the female actor and Mani had land deals with Dileep. “I came to know that my brother (Mani) has two or three plots of land at Rajakkad in Idukki and also in Munnar. He had land dealing with Dileep and they had difference of opinion on such deals,” he told mediapersons at Chalakkudy on Thursday.
Mr Ramakrishnan said that the state police had not done proper inquiry into such matters and now he had told the CBI investigation team about all such deals. “I do not have any direct knowledge about my brother’s property and monetary dealings. So, I want the investigation agency to bring out the truth in the matter by conducting a proper inquiry,” he said.
Veteran director Baiju Kottarakkara on Wednesday revealed during a channel discussion that a woman, who claimed to be a relative of Mani had called him over the phone and told him about the land deals between Mani and Dileep. Mr Kottarakkara has handed over the details of the phone call to the CBI. Mani, who was staying with his close aides at his outhouse on the banks of Chalakkudy River, died at a hospital in Kochi on March 6 last year, a day after he vomited blood at the outhouse.
Two actors were questioned by the cops after Mani’s mysterious death and three of his close aides who were staying at the outhouse were subjected to lie-detection test, the result of which turned out to be negative. The state police had registered a case for unnatural death and now CBI has taken over the case.
